ARTIST STATEMENT- MEA-MEI STANBURY

I am a Wiradjuri and Ngiyampaa woman based in the Blue Mountains. I make a range of cultural creations like clapstix, rainbow snakes, earrings and cards. Making these items connects me to culture and sharing them with others is a way of keeping culture strong. I have recently completed my BFA at National Art School, Darlinghurst and I am currently studying a Masters of Fine Arts.
